This year starts my 23rd year of teaching. I began my teaching career in Newman Grove, Nebraska and moved to teaching sixth grade in BPS for 14 years. I'm excited to be teaching 7th grade Science and History here at Lewis and Clark! Passionate about STEM education, I enjoy integrating technology into my classroom and also teach a robotics and coding club here at Lewis and Clark. I grew up in Wisner, NE, graduated from Midland Lutheran College, and received my masters from Peru State College. My wife, Stephanie, and I have two beautiful girls, Mia (14) and Addison (11), and an amazing little boy Camden (6). I enjoy basketball, hunting, water-sports, snowboarding, skiing, camping, and of course, Husker football.

This is the start of my 15th year of full-time teaching. I began my teaching career in Omaha Public Schools where I taught Reading and Communications for five years. With the birth of my first daughter, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom for the next ten years. I went back to teaching for the next four years as a substitute for BPS. In the fall of 2012, I returned to full-time teaching here at Lewis and Clark. My husband Eric and I are the proud parents of three daughters: Emma (22) who graduated from Webster University this past year and is now working in Washington D.C., Clara (20) who will begin her junior year of college at Drake University this fall, and Leah (18) who recently graduated from Bellevue West and will begin her freshman year at University of Minnesoata-Morris this year . I graduated from Midland Lutheran College with a B.A. in English and Language Arts, and I have 36 hours of master level classes as well. I am most passionate about teaching my students how to write well (and maybe even enjoy it a bit)! In my spare time, you can find me spending time with family. I love to travel, read, and do anything that involves making memories with my girls.

I finished my Masters in Reading and moved to Birchcrest Elementary and worked with K-6th grade struggling readers. I am starting my 13th year at Lewis and Clark Middle School. I grew up in Tekamah, NE, attended UNL, and received my Masters in Reading at UNO. My husband, Rusty, and myself have 2 boys. Dillon graduated from UNL and lives in Bellevue. Dalton is a Senior at Bellevue East. My favorite activity is spending time with my family. We love to travel together and go on new adventures. On Husker Saturdays, you will find us cheering on the Cornhuskers. We also have a very spoiled dog, Zoey, a 7 year old doberman.
Mr. Sanderson - Instructional Support [email protected]
This is my fifth year teaching at Lewis and Clark and overall. My wife and I welcomed our first child, Tate, last December and it has been so much fun watching him grow. I am from the Omaha area, went to high school in Papillion and got my undergraduate degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha in special education and physical education. I finished my Masters degree in developmental adapted physical education from Minnesota State Mankato. I am currently a basketball varsity assistant at Bellevue West. I have also taught regular and adapted swim lessons for many years and worked for an after school program for school aged kids in multiple homeless shelters in/around Omaha. Teaching/coaching has always been my passion, I love being a positive role model for kids and seeing them reach further than they thought they could ever go. My hobbies are going to sporting events, playing sports, and following all Nebraska Cornhusker athletics.
